Progression Poem by Daniel Adams

Progression

Rating: 5.0

Like a gentle bud blooming into a flower,
I changed minute by minute and hour by hour.
With great care you opened me up,
And in my hands your heart does cup.

Long ago I locked out the world,
Fearing it would harm me.
But you came and unlocked my heart from it's cage,
And now it's finally free.

Free to love, free to laugh and free to cry.
I was scared of being in love and I told you why.
Yet your patience and love shone through.
You proved yourself worthy and that's why I love you.

You freed my heart and my heart chose you,
It offers a love so strong and so true.
A love that makes my free heart fly.
A love for you that will never die.

You've changed my life in so many ways.
I want you here for the rest of my days.
Beside you my love will always stand.
And I love the fact, my heart's in your hand.
