Prodigal Lover Poem by Ayzhelle Mendoza

Prodigal Lover

Rating: 4.5

Glad you're here
I missed you
Come in, have no fear
Let me kiss you

Where have you been?
Where have you been?

Outside?
It's beautiful yet the worst place to fall
They will look up to you
A Godlike creature flying above all
But only worms can crawl, crawl and they'll stone you

Sssshhh..cry no more

You've flown so far
I know you're tired
Don't mind the scar
Not all are desired

Drop your spear
You've fought so hard
Wipe your last tear
Yo te protegeré

Outside this cage is freedom
Too much of it could kill you
And so i've created a small kingdom
Just enough for me and you

I'll let the door open
Go on with your journey
Fly and search for heaven
I've seen it already

Someday you might find me again
And that's when i could finally say,

'You've always been my destiny'

Catchy title. My favourite line is OUTSIDE THIS CAGE IS FREEDOM TOO MUCH OF IT COULD KILL YOU. LOVELY. Thanks for sharing.
