Prisoner Of Love Poem by Bharat Trivedi

Prisoner Of Love

Rating: 5.0

Moon
had stepped down
on the earth, last night -
when you and I had raced bare-feet
on the spread-out carpet of emerald meadows
Wearily, we had retired
on a couch of cumulous clouds
under the blanket of shiny stars.
and had made maddening love.

Your liquid-fire kisses had ignited
the ember of my libido and
moon-light burst into tongue of flames
as I dived in the depths of your femininity
to inhale the scents of musk and patchouli
while fragile fluids overflow from the fountain of love.

As fading stars hang in the hues of dawn-dusted sky
withered rose petals crushed under our fatigued bodies
lay scattered, bearing the motif of our love
on the crumpled stained-sheets
your flushed face glows in the rays of morning light
and sleep-intoxicated eyes wink at me in delight,
while you hold me as a prisoner of love
in the feathery cavern of your peacock-gold heart…
