Priestly Politics Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Priestly Politics

These political manipulators
Will make you sick in the stomach
Dressed like holy alligators
Their selfish greed is a fact.

They've ruled and deceived my country
Dictated their whims and plans
Held our leaders like puppetry
Holding control with vile hands.

In robes of disgusting piety
They would sit like kings with masks
Snakes that crawl politically
I hope God will take them to task.

I pray millstones and huge boulders
Be tied to their necks, let them drown
Eternity will expose these pretenders
I hope they reap what they have sown!
