Pride Poem by Helen claire jones

Pride

Peppered waters still and deep
bubbling undercurrents ready to be unleashed.
Passions fiery, emotions withheld
strong temperaments, too stubborn to tell
Lingering looks, whispers hush hush
waiting for your eternal touch
longing for our time to arrive
but it never started because of our pride.
separate lives and lives unfilled
taking the risk was an issue we missed
