Pretend It's Okay

Rating: 3.0

Abusive parents, with no one who would understand, a girl trudges through life's drain.
She ran through the forest, bruised and bleeding, trying to get away from the pain.
She was caught in the dark and forced to go home, crying, knowing that thing would always be this way.
The next day she returns to school, faking a smile and reassuring everyone that she was fine, just as she always did. Just pretending everything was okay.
But when the abuse goes to far and it leads to death, the parents fake innocence, the girl dies in vain, and no one ever knows the truth.

A boy with no parents, living alone with a low paying job, having to struggle through life, taking it out on himself with a knife when no one is around. No one to show.
He cuts, he bleeds, and he cries, he knows it will never change. But he covers the wounds so no one will know.
When he goes to school, he fakes a smile and acts happy for his friends sake. Pretending everything is okay.
But when the cuts turn to suicide, no one can find his body, and he becomes another boy that goes missing never to be found, no one ever finds out the truth, day after day.

Even if you pretend it's okay, nothing will change and you'll always be alone.
