Prayers
I sit here and write out of spite
Listing to my head and heart fight
Yelling what is wrong, and what is right
To just give up or put up a fight
So I put my head down and pray tonight
Dear lord, thank you for giving me this life
Things may not be what I want to be
But lord take my hand and I shall see
Take these shackles off my life and set me free
So thank you lord for being there for me.

Nicely written in many ways.. At times what we only need is some gratefulness to ourselves, and hope in our hearts.. Thanks for sharing.
