Power In Action (By St. Thiruvalluvar) Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Power In Action (By St. Thiruvalluvar)

661.The power in action is nothing but one’s power in mind.
All other powers are of different types.
662.Not doing criminal acts and once done not being vexed,
Are the two ways of the learned ministers.
663.A man reveals his action at the end if it is fruitful.
If he opens it half-way, it brings ruin unretrievable.664.It is easy to say. Difficult it is
To act in the way what is said.
665.The firm acts of the renowned men to win
Will be esteemed not only by the king but by all.
666.Firm thinkers attain what they think about
In the way in which they think.
667.To roll a mighty car, a small linch-pin will do.
So don’t despise men for their short stature.
668.When an action is firmly resolved to do,
Do it without fear or delay.
669.Do the act with grit which brings joy in the end
Though it bothers at the outset.
670.Though men possess abilities of different kinds
The world desires not men who are not firm in action.
