Poverty Poem by Ren cunningham

Poverty

Rating: 4.0

Please oh please end poverty,
Over the years it has gotten worse,
Value is placed on everything nowadays,
Every day I pray and pray God will lift this curse,
Rarely do I have food to eat,
Too poor to afford new shoes on my feet; no money to go to school,
Yearning to learn the golden rule.
