Today will be a good day
The lies I tell myself!
As I sit and sip my coffee
Watching my world turn into hell

Today will be a good day
I tried and failed again
No good deed was left unpunished
And once more I'm left standing in the rain

Today might be a good day
Today I might get it right
Just smile and wave, and all will be well
Every dark cloud must give way to the light

Today can be a good day
Yes, I will it to be true
No time for sorrows, no time for doubt
I have much better things to do!

Today is another good day
Nothing can bring me down
The birds are singing, the sky is blue
I just might smile away someone else's frown...
