Port-Au-Prince In Haiti Poem by July Legaspi

Port-Au-Prince In Haiti

It was January 12 Tuesday,
That shocked all the races of today,
An earthquake hit Port-Au-Prince in Haiti,
That killed thousands of people in a day.

Buildings collapse in seconds,
Houses broke down in an instance,
Road cracked in every distance,
Leaving Haiti without any assurance.

Many lives have stolen,
Some of them were children,
A lot of dreams were broken,
And nobody expect this to happen

But there are still survivor,
Many of them loss a family member,
Hundreds of them were in despair,
And thousands of them need food and water.

Its only a day,
That changed the lives of many,
No one could cure the heart in pity,
Or even removed the scar made by the tragedy.

Now people around the world are all in hand,
Helping the people of Haiti in any way they can,
A little help is not a tiny one,
Specially if it came from everyone.
