Pop List Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Pop List

Quit the job, pay wasn't about s**t
Got the illest hustle talking real sick
All employers try to play you for cheap
Climbing up the ranks make a huge leap
Team real don't want no fake
and the general public hate
Solid is the heart that turns the hardest
Hit the gym it'll do the body good
Cause it's hit the hardest
Ain't got no mob ties but I go the hardest
Tis the season to be unmodest
Caribbeans are savage, excuse the rawness, heartless
It's all I ever been and look where it's put me
if you want the typical go with the basic
if you like a challenge got to be creative
I think the vultures surveying an area to scan
'Cause I know they like to see the fall of man
They are all out to get me in none I trust
what ain't built for the league gets dropped off the team
Got to show them nothings promised nor guaranteed
If you're putting in good numbers, you're an MVP
I know they'll love to keep me, I'm the MVP
I can't be owned, you can't buy me
Public Service Announcement:
Astrology make a profit off telling lies
Once intertwined with the science
of astronomy from which it plagiarize
I'm like a private eye
on a mission to investigate
and that's where it was realized,
intellectual defamation
if you shall proceed,
you'll receive a cease and desist
what's the crime?
unlawfully reporting false information
I don't follow judgements of incompetent men
Predators prey on the weak, they know their naive
I'm going to always rise above the ignorance
by any means necessary
Everyday, Everynight, I hustle for a better life
it's a cruel winter in the dead of february
thanks to Mother natures knowledge
those who are chosen will elevate
Having won critical votes to delegate
bring death to em' with the verbal venom
The bullet of truth is how you dead em'
Life isn't a genie that grants a fat wish
It's a map to conquer follow the atlas
Factual observation of those who catfish
Fake is the majority, real is a minority
I trust of no b***h
no telling what company they keep
just saying what's real
cause sooner than later i'll discover
what's the true deal
when disaster strikes a caribbeans at the helme
