Pop Gossip (Beatlebabepaul Poem) Poem by Gill Shaw

Pop Gossip (Beatlebabepaul Poem)

They said he did for his wife
Oh yes he did her in...
long aft he killed his rival life
a duel to the death...t'was him.

A man who kept a secret
who said what must be done
and the broken hearted keeper
who had bled all over one.

He sang with righteous anger
his 'bessie' and 'er dad
for they ran through vinyl backwards
as the world went bloody mad.

Forgot about his talent
forgot his lovely face
forgot about the replacement
struggling to play the bass.
