Pollution Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

Pollution

Amidst the fields and rolling hills,
The presence of pollution spills,
A harmful force that threatens all,
Both human health and nature's call.

The air we breathe, so thick with smoke,
From industry and transport's choke,
The particles that fill our lungs,
Their dangers cannot be unsung.

The waterways that flow so pure,
Now tainted by the waste we endure,
The chemicals that seep and spill,
Their harmful effects we cannot kill.

The soil that once was rich and strong,
Now burdened by pollution's wrong,
The toxins that pervade the ground,
Their presence felt with each new sound.

And in the midst of all this strife,
The toll that pollution takes on life,
From human health to ecosystems lost,
Its effects are felt at every cost.

Yet hope remains amidst the haze,
As we seek to change our ways,
Through sustainable practices and care,
We can restore what once was fair.

Let us work together, hand in hand,
To heal the damage caused by man,
And create a world that's clean and pure,
Where nature's beauty can endure
