Poets - Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

Muddle-headed dreamers,
Mendacious, subtle semantic schemers,
Random rhymers,
What is your excuse?
You have no practical, down-to-earth use,
The language suffers such abuse
At your hands, and what is worse
Nobody understands your verse! !
