Poetry 'N Motion! Poem by Jennifer BrownBanks

Poetry 'N Motion!

Rating: 3.9

My bedroom mirror
Mimicking my fluid, sensuous moves
My long limbs
Being beckoned by the beat,
I wanna dance!

I am a dancer
Trapped in a poet’s body
I am a poet with dancer’s dreams

Feel my rhythm
As I dazzle my audience
With carefully choreographed words
That vibrantly leap
From mind
To blank pages

Tumbling from tongue
To ears
To hearts

Feel my rhythm
As I move my hips
As I move these lips
I am a verbal exhibitionist

Watch me shimmy like Shakespeare
With the down stroke of my pen

Let's have a quick-step from your quill, while I pasadoble with my pencil? Nice work Jennifer. Danny
