Poetry has gone on for years
A delicate piece of writing that could put someone in tears

The peace and quiet poetry has taken
But then again it will awaken

The calm voice of poetry speaking
the more and more it will be teaching

Poetry is a gift of writing from the author to the world and out
Sometimes poems can make you pout

Poetry has taught me much
With a side of soft touch

Poetry is behind the music
only people who have this gift can use it

Poetry is not dumb or stupid
Some people can make love poems better than Cupid

Poetry is fact, not fake
But poetry sometimes can be difficult to make
