Poetree: When God Made Trees ©

When God was making Earth, He thought,
how wonderful that it could be;
if we could find the things we sought,
in His nature, naturally...

And so, He started then to make,
all sorts of awesome creatures;
on earth but for Heaven's sake,
with unique, exquisite features!

Singing dolphins, flying fish,
and pale blue butterfilies!
Shooting starts to grant a wish,
in heavens deep blue skies!

Rivers, streams, the ocean blue
Summer's sun and Monsoon's rains,
Volcanic craters set to spew,
red lava on the ashen plains!

And yet, dear God was disatisfied,
with His work that he could see,
His creativity intensified...
and then He made...a tree...

He started with a little seed,
which soon began to grow;
according to His will and heed,
it's leaves were green, aglow!

Its branches reached for heaven's sky,
Flowers graced its verdant crown;
Bounteous fruit, for you and I,
Fragrant scents were all around!

God smiled at every blessed tree,
He smiled and touch the wood;
A gift for each, for you and me,
God knew that it was good!
