Poet Pablo Neruda Poem by Emmanuel Jesuthasan

Poet Pablo Neruda

Poet Pablo Neruda
A Tribute Poem

Pablo! The revolting poet of the left’
Hope these verses help to resurrect
Your rebellious thirst to weave
Verses of clausura to starve
Dictators’ world over of power!

Pablo! The poet of romantic heart,
Lyrics of love orphaned by dictator’s deceit,
Denying world the delight,
Of poems so exquisite,
Only Pablo could script.

Pablo! The Poet of renowned heights,
Among poets to shine bright,
To the fancy of manor borns;
You penned verses for toiling humans,
Embracing death for red faith!

Nature’s reach or butcher’s catch,
Death deter not poets to scroll
Poems; The knives of foes only breach
The body and not the soul!
May your rebel spirit live forever!
