Poem - Special Engagement

Special Engagement

After many months of planning,
With lots of toil and strife,
Lloyd plucked up the courage,
To ask Rebecca to be his wife.

He took her for a special meal,
Then put on a blind fold for a surprise,
She had no idea we would be there,
Until she opened up her eyes.

She turned around and noticed us all,
Whilst Lloyd went down on one knee,
He asked "Will you marry me ",
To which she simply agreed.

At which point he placed the diamond ring,
Upon her left hand,
Thankfully all went smooth,
Just as Lloyd had planned.

At The Talarddu cottage near Builth Wells,
The Engagement celebrations begun,
With their families around them,
All bonding together and having fun.

In the future there will be a wedding,
Maybe in a country far away,
Where they both will say " I DO ",
On their Very special day!
