Poem Hunter 6 - Ode To Classic Poets Of Poem Hunter - Edgar Allan Poe

Rating: 5.0

‘To love and be loved'
Is a classic line that makes
Edgar Allan Poe
An exceptional Poet of Poem Hunter.
He brings alive
A beautiful woman named
Annabel Lee!
She may die in his poem
But to the readers she remains alive
And etched in the memory like a bright star!

The poet pens a classic line
That epitomises
The purpose and meaning
Of Human life on earth.
"Annabel Lee lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved."
This is the innermost urge,
The desire of every man or woman,
The essence of the soul,
'To love and to be loved'!

A magnificent work, Geeta. Indeed, Annabel Lee is alive to every reader. Or at least, Poe tells us she is indeed someone " whom you may know." A perfect 10.

(2) What is so touching about the poem is the poet's longing for his muse even after she is no more. Thanks, Geeta ji. Only a poet of your sensibilities could recall the poem and its underlying philosophy back to life with such finesse. This lovely Ode re-creates the magic of Annabel Lee with all its emotional appeal.

(1) A poignant romantic tale immortalized in this poem by Edgar Allan Poe who was a multi-faceted personality and a man of letters. The poet's muse named Annabel Lee doesn’t look like an ordinary mortal. Her message of love transcends all ages and all places from earth to heaven.
