Poem 4 Poem by Satyabrata Barik

Poem 4

In fleeting moments, did my name cross your lips?
A solitary tear shed, sorrow's grip?
Did prayers or curses escape your heart's sway?
Yearning for one last glimpse, one word to say?
Did you ponder if I'd mourn, if I'd miss?
Did you wonder if I'd live past this?
Answer me now, without delay,
For time's swift current sweeps away
The chance to mend what's gone astray
