Poem 1 Poem by Satyabrata Barik

Poem 1

In silent meetings of our gaze, not more than five seconds long,
In your eyes, love's pure essence, so profound and strong.
Unspoken words linger, a mystery unsaid,
Imagination or madness, in silence we tread.

Knowledge eludes me, and curiosity too,
For in this enigma, I find a truth so true.
A princess you are, in every sense, so divine,
I, no prince, yet vow to keep you, forever mine.

Promises cast, to hold you in esteem so high,
Your tears, to deserts far, I'll bid goodbye.
Sorrow, to the woods deep, I will send,
In our realm of love, only joy will ascend.
