Playing Pirates Poem by Zoe Harwood

Playing Pirates

My pirates are a swarthy bunch
They fight and yell and scream
Their clothes are ragged and dirty
Don't they own a washing machine?

My pirate vessel is graceful
Worthy of sailing high seas
I know it can withstand the fury
Of a relatively swift moving breeze

As a captain I am a clever brute
Unconcerned if things should become drastic
No matter the weather or danger
For my pirates are made out of plastic
