Play Fool Poem by Rafael Acosta

Play Fool

Look me in the eyes.
Tell me what you feel
Can you see the pain?
Or you see a smile?

It is tearing all inside,
How can't you realise?
broken mind,
but I don't complain.

Just answer why?
Why don't you trust in me?
Have I ever told you a lie?
-Hey-
-Am I so bad? -

I'm mad once in a while,
But I still get from you
a smile to shine!
I have tried all this time and
I'm sick of what's going on

You don't care any more

What you see in my eyes?
Are they blue? Are they brown?
They were drained
They are dry

You know what?
Just… forget it
I'm done.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Hello.

I wrote this after I had a thug discussion with my grandmother. I love her, but it is hard to confront when someone you love does not trust you at all. I was talking to her. She knew I was sad about it and she, as always, tried to cheer me up. Take a smile from me out. To not be sad.

Thanks for reading!
