Planetary Conjunction

Named after the god of destruction,
Saturn is the sloth.

After the near-conjunction of twelve, twenty-one, twenty-twenty,
Jupiter the tortoise begins to leave Saturn behind -

what Usain Bolt Earth months ago
had begun to do to both.

Peeved after Mars said Arcite would win,
Venus pleaded Palamon's case to Saturn,

who, more powerful by far than Mars,
assured her that, without fail,

in the fight for Emelye's hand,
her knight would prevail.
