Pillowed Thoughts Poem by Courtney Pare' Cox

Pillowed Thoughts

Like monarchs wing my eyes flutter open to the light of early morning
and image of serenity and calm lies before me
a sigh and deep inhale he moves closer arm around my waist
I drink it all in and my face breaks into happiness

I lay and look at his face as if it were a work of art in the Louvre
study every inch and memorize it
suddenly two evergreen eyes look at me
He drinks it all in an his face breaks into happiness

We are just begining so much to come
I yearn to know him as I know myself
to know how this amazing person who lies by my side feels, thinks, hopes
and he like a detective does the same to learn all about me
though we know litte, I myself know one thing thing for certain
waking up beside him is pure bliss
We drink it all in and our faces break into happiness
