'Piggy In The Middle' Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

I’m a ‘Piggy in the Middle’,
I’m neither here nor there,
I’m past my Prime in Life,
But, I don’t really care.

I’ve no surprises left,
My Health’s no longer good,
What have I to look forward to,
That’ll do me any good?

I’ve had my ‘Ups’ and ‘Downs’,
More ‘Downs’ than ‘Ups’ ~ you see,
What the Future holds ~
We’ll have to wait and see.

I don’t intend to GO yet,
I hope HE’ll wait for me
To achieve more understanding,
And write more poems for thee.

It’s not that I’m impatient
To see what Heaven is like,
But with HIS help, I know,
It’s better to live this Life.
