Physiotherapy Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

LORD ~ I need your help to undergo physiotherapy,
Help me sustain the pressure on my right knee.
I need a prosthesis ~ make it comfortable for me,
So again I can write to praise THEE.

Send me the words LORD ~ every night and day,
With the exception of Shabbat when I must rest and pray,
I need YOUR help LORD, to sustain my Recovery,
Let me have a Mindset to walk one day.

I must not rush ~ the Physiotherapists tell me,
But they do not understand how my Myasthenia affects me,
I have known my Muscle Disease for fourteen years past,
But YOU alone know how my strength will last.

Like Douglas Bader I must learn to walk,
Thrusting my right leg without a jerk,
I know it may be painful, but YOU, I know will help,
To let me make steady progress towards Good Health.

I know my Mind sets out the words to write,
But surely LORD, they come from YOUR Might,
I am not clever enough to write these words alone,
Knowing that I am just YOUR Clone.
