Picture The Scene Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Picture The Scene

Rating: 5.0

Picture the scene of the hills and the valleys
Rolling before you a patchwork so fine,
The gold of the corn fields the green of the pastures
Capture this moment as sunlight does shine.
Sail on the wind as you rise in the morning
Far into the blue of the sky up above,
See it forever and live for its beauty
Follow me onward and share in its love.

Picture the scene of a calm flowing river
Winding before you and showing the way,
Cool and so fresh as the ripples are dancing
Each one a heartbeat of joy that will stay.
Taste the pure water its life giving spirit
Anf filling your soul with the peace you shall feel,
See it forever and live for its beauty
Follow me onward to where dreams are real.

Picture the scene of the flowers in the meadow
Blossoms of springtime where colour surrounds,
Draping the land where the songbirds are singing
Always remember the sight and the sounds.
As petals start falling like snowflakes so softly
And forming a carpet wherever you go,
See it forever and live for its beauty
Follow me onward then God you shall know.
