Physician's Position Poem by gershon hepner

Physician's Position

This poem presents my position
regarding who should be on top
and who underneath, as physician
I outline this as my psyop.

“Sometimes I wonder what life
would be like if it happened without you, ”
she said. Since the lady’s my wife,
I replied: “But of course I don’t doubt you.
I’m happy that you do not wonder
what your life would be like if I were
not over you always but under,
position we both might prefer.”
She said: “Since you ask, I do wonder
if that might bring you to me tighter.”
Their previous love was a blunder,
as they learned in a happy all-nighter.
“I wonder how previously I
used to manage when you were on top, ”
she said, and she liked my reply:
“Bottom line is when no one’s a flop.”

Inspired by the caption of a cartoon in the August 10 and 17 issue of The New Yorker: “Sometimes I wonder what life would be like with you.”
