Ph: Love: The Gift Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Love: The Gift

As bee’s life is hive’s honey,
So man’s life is found love,
No pride in what’s been gathered,
Just thanks to God above.

For man is not the author,
Love’s flowing from the ground,
By-product of creation
When we were not around.

When expectations flat-line,
When owning love falls flat,
When all that shines is freedom,
Then love is where you’re at.

If true love you would fathom,
Then say goodbye to greed,
The love that you would capture
Is not the love you need.

Be open to all flowers
That blossom by your door,
(The ones with heart to serve you) ,
And you’ll know love and more!
