Ph: Love: Lover's Holiday Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Love: Lover's Holiday

Why take a holiday from love?
Just how does that make sense?
And who would ever want to leave?
What point made "sitting on the fence? "

Try making list of what you'd do
On such a holiday?
Describe the heart there'd be in fun,
Imagine joy there'd be in play?

Yet people say that God's a bore,
Where's wisdom in this share?
What thrill is there in me me me,
What gain in loss of other's care?

And frankly I'm so bored with me
Perhaps you share this view?
The morning mirror tough enough,
But nothing but my own voice? Whew!

And if you choose to leave His court
Creation's His alone,
So where in Hell are you to go?
Name "devil's lair" seems overblown!

The magic lies in other's take
I've had my fill of mine!
Creation when you think of it
Is really quite a valentine!
