Ph: Life: Rescuing Others Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Life: Rescuing Others

To rescue someone is not easy,
If they don't even want you to try,
They may not feel really deserving,
And in fact, be just waiting to die!

That's sad, but still others are hungry,
Will respond to a ghost of a chance,
That's great, but don't take all the credit,
After all, they are choosing to dance!

Don't forget to nurture your own soul,
When your strength you first dare to impart,
Make sure your affairs are in order.
For someone's trusting you with their heart.

Be prepared to go the whole distance,
It is so hard to know when you're thru,
But if you should have any questions,
Ask your friends what they need from you!

It's wonderful when it all works out,
And this joy is their gift in return,
And just like a really good gym day,
When your done you can take home the burn.
