Ph: Faith: Prosperity For Dummies!

Can you ever be prosperous if you're a mensch
Who is truly afraid to be rich?
Is it OK that some might be jealous of you?
Do you fear you might die in some ditch?

Well, prosperity starts with acceptance my friend,
Of yourself first, then others in turn,
We must all consume lessons God puts on our plate
For it's His truth we need to discern!

Though our lives are a gift that nobody deserves,
What we do with them's always our choice!
But to bury our assets or share with the world,
I believe is our God-given voice.

Does your voice have more content than wind shaking leaves?
Are you happy to leave it at that?
Is provision for self based on friendships you've made,
Or do you put your trust in stored fat?

Does prosperity mean that we feel free to love,
That our faith is that God IS His Grace?
Is that all man needs know about heaven above?
If God's dead how can life leave a trace?

Can a mensch who IS prosperous live life in fear
Or is Grace just a place where you dine? (1)
Wear the armor of God, trust His staff, trust His rod, (2)
Might Christ's death be life's best Valentine?

Poet's Notes:
Psalm 23: 4-5
(1)"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies."
(2)The rod and staff of a shepherd are tools that the shepherd uses to
protect and to guide his sheep. They never get used as instruments of punishment. Our heavenly Father is always patient, always gentle, always caring. God has none of the failings of your earthy Dad!
