Ph: Bible: All Human Love Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Bible: All Human Love

Rating: 5.0

All human love is worth less than it could be,
For human love's simply crudely framed restraint,
Impoverished souls who kick tires and check paint,
God's love also judged another wannabe.

For some it's true, my floor could be your ceiling,
Yet for others, well, my ceiling is your floor,
Either way, both tenants certain they need more,
And yes it's clear, his view is more appealing.

It is hard to say what faculty got lost,
Besides grace that is (the most important one?)
It's so clear we lack the vision of God's son,
Who gave up His life in love in spite of cost.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

The Bible says that 'no greater love hath a man but that he lay down his life for a another.' If Christ did die believing that His death might give you new life, even if He was crazy, then by this definition alone, is He not the most incredible person who has ever lived? For He died out of love for everyone that has or ever will live. Think about that. Who amongst us has such courage, such love for His brothers and sisters?
