Petting Zoo Poem by Luke J. Holt

Petting Zoo

Across the wanderway

Quiet horses still
bowing for inch-high crabgrass

The big monster drains milk from my eyes

A little pump for the ooglers of dusty decrepit fauna that wished it was dead

Feed the goats for a quarter
from the hand
It means absolutely everything
