Perspective Poem by Daniel Edward

Perspective

Rating: 3.0

I am
breathing
in and out
circumventing air
through lungs
placed in my body
by some higher being
that looks down
on me
as the smoke
from my cigarette
winds lazily around the
empty glass
in front of
me
thats when
I think of
all the things
taken for
granted
in life
as the waiter
brings the check
i exhale
and remind myself
that i could be
worse off
than
I am
then im reminded
of you.
