Perfection Poem by Aaron Simmons

Perfection

Rating: 5.0

Out of the midst of my desolation
Arose a stunning light of such majesty.
It seemed to leave me in a state of sedation,
Erasing all of my life's current travesties.

Enveloped in a cocoon of warmth and love,
I was left standing in silent awe,
As she descended upon me from above
She must be an angel, the only conclusion I could draw.

The power of her life never once seemed to fracture,
As I was captivated by what was in front of me.
Beauty personified in every part of her stature;
It flowed out of her with such grace so naturally.

Her heart spoke my name, so soft I could barely hear it,
Whispering on the winds of time.
A voice so delicate that it touched my spirit,
The anticipation of affection felt so sublime.

Only one word to describe what God had placed right here,
This beautiful specimen; she is perfection.
And at that very moment, everything became ever so clear,
That my heart had now become her selection.

A well articulated and nicely penned piece from the heart. A personification and an epitome of grace well captured. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
