Perfect Time To Think About My Beloved! Poem by Malabika Ray Choudhury

Perfect Time To Think About My Beloved!

Rating: 5.0

a peaceful room in the midst of my garden! My tranquil sanctuary!
the end of a day when I drown myself in memory!
the birds stopped chirping!
they are going back to their nests-
to rest quietly!

I close my eyes!
it's You who is with me!
you, who gave me peace, from many years ago,
who never faded from my memory,
a magical smile with captivating lips, and mysterious eyes,
eyes so deep, reminds the fathomless water of the Arabian Sea,
the smile takes me to a Himalayan mountaintops, where the river is flowing incessantly to the bottom, creating a music never heard anywhere else,
the sensuous lips got their colour from the wildest of roses of a far land!
I found the magical key to unlock her heart!

I am a weary bird -
wants to rest in my nest,
with you!
why did I let you go?
this is the perfect time,
when the world is calm, darkness is talking to the shiny strip of Moon,
when the innumerable stars are dazzling to remind me the shiniest Star in my life,
who did not speak much, but always looked at me with her caring eyes, so no cares can touch me.

this is the perfect time to
think about You!
and only about you!

A lovely poem on life and love, so lovingly and feelingly written. And of course so well as well.

This lovely poem reminds me a famous poem in Bengali - Banalata Sen. Found the similar sentiment here! Excellent!
