Perception Poem by Selina Staniszewski

Perception

Rating: 5.0

The eyes are mysterious in the head of the low one
They give off a secretive expression from the thoughts
Of the lonely ones
No one catches it when it skims frequently in the mist
Only to realize that the eyes of the vulgar one seeks a
fantasy of bliss

The human eyes are the windows to the heart, allowing
the mind to create a place that the soul yearns for.
Although the visionary seems tangible the heart has confidence
That the universe is closer than it seems
Our demons trick us into believing we're far though.

But the truth is we are not beings experiencing a
spiritual awakening Instead godly beings experiencing a humanly life
The eyes, The heart, The mind, The soul Is what keeps the universe alive
But we treat it as a deadly flower
Watching time go by pretending that there is hope
For reviving.
Leave it to man to waste time.
