Pendulum Ride Poem by reina Lorenzo

Pendulum Ride

4/14/05

with this dangerous pace I traveled
just to reach the end
I took every single bite
Thinking that it was just part of it
I wanna scream
“I wanna leave before I die”
but I can’t.

nails on my feet
I don’t even have time to clean ‘em
All I want is to blow the wind
To reach the end that seems like never ending.

I thought of a beautiful you, waiting on my cup
To keep me safe from my pendulum ride
There maybe more pages to swim and
More bites to come
But I know, soon this droned hanging inside
Will no longer just a whisper.
