Pedestrian's Sorrow (Story Of Love/ Not Wanting To Lose Love) Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Pedestrian's Sorrow (Story Of Love/ Not Wanting To Lose Love)

Rating: 5.0

She walked into my life as if a lion beginning to roar
The concrete jungle that surrounds began to wither with each step taken
Giving the clouds reason to part from their place in the sky
Following her they chased
Beckoning the atmosphere to hold back their tears
as her touch itself could calm the fires of the sun
This woman
Came as the months that swiftly follow March
passionately kissing the minutes as they passed
Her steps themselves pristine, never knew the touch that persisted
Zealous
as life's riddles drew us close as the hands that softly tick across the clock
The angels in heavens peak sighed their hymns of joy
Almost losing flight as they themselves found that without one another they'd surely fall from the peak
Their hearts echoed the soundscape that alone I pictured in the glimpse of her eye
An ocean of green carnations in bloom
Flourished each word she spoke
This woman walked into my life as if a lion beginning to roar
And as all things
I dread to reach the end of the path
