Pebbles Poem by Johnny Quiet

Pebbles

Rating: 4.8

many things to many people
while alive plagued by
choice and uncertainty
duplicity is killed by death
leaving a cold stone core

one and simple i'll become
unable to change a thing
heavy and hard and serious
to weigh on the minds of men
dead like words on a page

feel, speak, will, and whisper
or am i something more
agency is to be in service
death to be free of charge
and free of body as a cast stone

when i die my life will
not be ended but completed
and set in stone forever
an unchanging eternal
