Peace At Sea Poem by Rose Whittington

Peace At Sea

I know the wrath of the waves that once crashed, crashed on this sandy shore
Like the beating of a drum becoming stronger, stronger.

I know the howling of the wind that shrieked, shrieked
Like a wolf's bay at the moon getting louder, louder.

The waves crashed, the wind shrieked,
But now all this is calm, calm
and so is the storm in me.
