Patience Poem by Dr John Celes

Patience

Some things come on if you can only wait;
For some others, you got to go after;
You need not turn a saint but try, you can; .
Patience is action timed, not inaction.

If people arouse anger unfairly,
You need not hit back or over-react;
Let patience be your forte with hope always;
Patience does not mean you have given up.

It takes long years for trees to grow up big;
But grass grows fast but cannot become tall;
Endurance is better than hasty acts;
Our life is one long lesson in patience.

We need not climb an unclimbed mountain peak;
We need not discover an untrod path;
We need not take on undue risks in life;
We ought to live the best with patience just.

All that we do need not be successful;
Every attempt need not give us success;
But patience can give us the elusive wins;
Patience with time can make a person sane.

If you can wait then long enough in life,
Success is found around the corner just;
To make or melt ice, it takes some patience;
Patience is more than any power on earth.
