Paths Poem by Flamora Clevare

Paths

I walk into the memory abyss and see all the mistakes and heartache I've had.

The shadows taunt me to give up and just fall off the cliff put before me.

The wings tell me they'll hold me, they don't want me to go.

The horns say they'll kill me, the wings can't save me.

As I choose my path, I look back into the abyss.

I'm only causing more pain by looking back but I can't help it!

I need it to help me choose my path in which to trust.

The wings say they'll protect me and guide me.

But if I go back to the abyss then there's no chance the horns can catch me.
