Years and years have passed by,
And I can't even lie,
My past has been rough,
And God knows I been through a lot of stuff,
But I have changed my ways,
To make better days,
I can see into my future,
And the woman I see people salute her,
She has accomplished her goals,
And all the hard work shows,
She had help along the way,
And the help is here to stay,
They say people come and go,
But your real friends stay fo'sho,
So with all that said,
I rest my head,
On a pillow made of love,
From the man up above.
