Past
I scroll through
The variegated
Album of pictures
Of once alive
Hopeful
yester years
Heavy,
Gets my heart
Eyes well up
With tears
People and places
That have etched
Indelible traces
Now left behind
Hiding in
Grey white hazes
I wipe away
All that mist
Memories
Abound
Life of
Dizzying twirls
And twists
Pictures
That show
Smiles captured
No fears
Camouflaged
Dark future
Greys and blacks
Covered veneers.
Wish had a way
To view my future
I do pray
No wasteful struggles
Day Dreams,
Carrying me away
In the end
To incinerator
Will be sent
Burning
All I have
Ashes
All left
As remains.
