Every hunger, every longing,
My ambitions and aspirations
My truest and deepest desires
My earnest yearning and thirst
My passions, dreams, fantasies
All the cravings of my heart
And after they are realized
Leaves me empty – wanting

Nothing this life offers can
Satisfy the heart’s cravings
A void that no one can fill
Only the maker of the heart
Can meet its deepest desires
And the author of life alone
All life’s deepest longings
